O.; Adewole, S.; Akinro, O.; Dauda, A.; Ajibola, K; Adesoye, O.A composite wheel spanner that simultaneously unscrews four wheel nuts/bolts of a Golf 4 Volks Wagon comprises the gear box casing (001) an enclosure of multiple gears and shafts that allows transmission of torque from the handle to the wheel bolts. The gears are located in the gear box and are held by shafts having keys and keyways. The gear shaft is an axle of the gear that provides rotation that allows a gear to engage with another gear while in operation. Spanner socket (002) fixed to the gear casing in a radial path are used in loosening the wheel bolts. The Handle (003) drives the gears by applying a whining force. The stand (004) and Base (005) hold together the gear box, the shafts and other elements.Item The development of CAD software for manufacturing flat-face and roller cam systems(2012) Simolowo, E. O.Computers have made the greatest impact in the advancement and development of almost all aspect of human endeavour, particularly in the engineering field. In this research, effort is geared towards improving the universal design and final manufacturing of commercial cams in many automotive and other related companies around the world. A software package for the design and profile simulation of plate cams with a possible choice of two followers(roller and flat-face) using eight standard cam motion for over one hundred and eighty-nine different followers profiles has been developed. The developed software provided the tools to analyze critical aspects of cams design before physical prototyping or production of such cams and followers, thereby increasing their reliability and performance. The developed software provides the tools to analyze critical aspect of cam design process but also speeds it up dramatically thereby making the process of comparative design analysis and optimization easier and faster.
