Beside this, the society and personality, which are complex inseparable factors in nature, have also been examined. It was however, noted that apart from the developmental problems, global problems within Nigeria take the greatest share. For instance, university students had not been spared from these psychosocial menace where criminal activities, cultism, violence are prevalent in all our universities and other tertiary institutions. The major factors of interest in the paper are the implication for early identification of students who are prone to engage in such deviant behaviour. With the present standardisation of Logotest (IMF scale) among the University of Ibadan student which has been found to be an appropriate tool for not only deviant behaviour but also the assessment and diagnosis of meaning of life/inner meaning fulfilment and existential problems/neurosis/frustration, it is expected that other colleagues in Africa would look into these aspects and take them into consideration in their respectively territary Institutions and other relevant Institution and Non governmental organisation.Item Sex,marital status and family setting variables on inner meaning fulfillment among students of the University of Ibadan(Ife centre for psychological studies, 2007) Asagba, R.B.The present study examined the influence of sex, marital status and family setting variables on Inner Meaning Fulfilment (IMF) on the students of the University of Ibadan. The IMF Scale (Logotest),which is inform of a questionnaire format, was used for the data collection as a survey/Ex post-facto design were used with randomly selected students within University community. A two independent group sample test statistics was utilized to analyse the data. While two of the three. hypotheses stated were confirmed (Sex, t (871) =1.70.3, P< 0.05 and Family Setting = t (729) = 2.431. P<0.05 the third hypothesis on marital status t = 882 = 3.517 P<0.05was not confirmed. based on these findings there is an urgent need for early psychological screening/ assessment for the new student and provision of Special Counselling Services for all students especially those from polygamous setting, married student and female students. There were eight hundred and eight five (885) participants with 449 (50.7%) males and 436 (49.3%) females. The mean age for the participants was 26.2 years with a standard deviation of 6.0 and age range from 15 - 60 years. The IMF scale (Logo test), which is in form of a questionnaire, was used for the data collection. Inter - correlation of the variables was conducted using the Pearson product correlation to test the three predictor variables which were significantly related to inner meaning fulfilment except the life satisfaction, (r = .06) was not significant. Self-esteem had a positive significant correlation with IMF (r = .18) although a negative relationship was expected while in life stressful event (r - 13) a negative correlation was found with IMF scale. Based on these findings a further research with those predictor variables with inner meaning fulfilment needs to be conducted in order to verify those issues raised in this study.
