It is of the fact that the relevance of Arabic language is not only restricted to the people spoken it as their mother language. Thus, it is globally applauded due to its effective recognitions and relevancies in other cultures and all human strata. History show that the place of Arabic language in multicultural society is very applausive, especially after the emergence of Islam spread beyond its domain to other continents like Asia, Europe, Africa, America, etc. Apparently, the position of Arab language in multicultural societies especially Nigeria (has the largest African population) which has predominant ethnic groups, cultures, and are than 400 ethnic dialects, with over 1.850,000,000 population is given a warmly applausive recognization. The reason is that its entry into the country dated back to the seventh century of the Hjrah era in which Arabic had been used for religious, social, economic, and cultural purposes. On this, it is very apparent that everything in the global world has influence over others, the influence of Maqamah genre in Arabic and foreign literary heritage could not be under-estimated, Thus, led to its total applausive by the scholars, having discovered its elegance and rhetorical extravagance in Arabic literary arts, they displayed their linguistic and intellectual prowess in producing their own Maqamah piece on Hamadhani’s style, whom regarded as the pioneer of Maqamah genre. Therefore, the thrust of this paper is to examine the influence of Maqamatu-1- Arabiyyah in Al-llory’s Maqamah: An Analytical discourse. Al-Ilory’s Maqamah is a new production and virgin work written by Sheikh Muhammad Awwal Abdul Salam known as Sahibul- Qur’an in the twenty- first Century. Before delving into the depth of discussion, the research will discuss the concept of Maqamah and its rationale in the Arabic literary heritage, the historical background of Sahibul-Qur’an and his contribution would be discussed. The researcher will exploit an analytical approach in examining how influence is Sahibul Qur’an with Maqamatu-l-Arabiyyah.Item The status of arabic literature in Nigerian authorship: a chronological study(Department of Religious Studies, Ekiti State University, Ado –Ekiti-Nigeria, 2018-05) Adetunji, I.Arabic literature had been a vehement genre of Arabic literary heritage since pre and post Islamic age, being a rare source contained a compendium and anthology of Arabs, likewise, in getting more acquainted with a real classical Arabic language and civilization, had hitherto contributed to its widespread to other Islamic countries where Islam and Arabic studies have been applausive and acknowledged. It is of no doubt that the genesis of Arabic Literature in Nigeria is traced to the time Arabic studies began in the 9th Century C.E, because it led to the time Islam got to Nigeria, Albelt, going along with Islamic and Arabic Education. Since then, Arabic Nigerian Authorships have worked tremendously to promote the Status of Arabic Literature in everyday through their intellectual prowess by producing many works of note in the field of Arabic Literature. Therefore, this paper aims to examine the Status of Arabic literature of Nigerian authorship in the twenty-first Century and bring into limelight their immense contribution to the sustainability of Arabic literature in Nigeria. Before delving in to the main work , the paper would give a cursory look into general over-view on the concept of Arabic literature in human literary heritage, Likewise, the genesis of Arabic literature in Nigeria, dichotomy in the periods of Arabic literature in Nigeria, Status of Arabic literature of Nigerian authorship in the past and compare it with the present and proffer a suitable prospects in the future would be discussed.
