It is of the fact that the relevance of Arabic language is not only restricted to the people spoken it as their mother language. Thus, it is globally applauded due to its effective recognitions and relevancies in other cultures and all human strata. History show that the place of Arabic language in multicultural society is very applausive, especially after the emergence of Islam spread beyond its domain to other continents like Asia, Europe, Africa, America, etc. Apparently, the position of Arab language in multicultural societies especially Nigeria (has the largest African population) which has predominant ethnic groups, cultures, and are than 400 ethnic dialects, with over 1.850,000,000 population is given a warmly applausive recognization. The reason is that its entry into the country dated back to the seventh century of the Hjrah era in which Arabic had been used for religious, social, economic, and cultural purposes. R.Item The status of arabic literature in Nigerian authorship: a chronological study(Department of Religious Studies, Ekiti State University, Ado –Ekiti-Nigeria, 2018-05) Adetunji, I.Arabic literature had been a vehement genre of Arabic literary heritage since pre and post Islamic age, being a rare source contained a compendium and anthology of Arabs, likewise, in getting more acquainted with a real classical Arabic language and civilization, had hitherto contributed to its widespread to other Islamic countries where Islam and Arabic studies have been applausive and acknowledged. It is of no doubt that the genesis of Arabic Literature in Nigeria is traced to the time Arabic studies began in the 9th Century C.E, because it led to the time Islam got to Nigeria, Albelt, going along with Islamic and Arabic Education. Since then, Arabic Nigerian Authorships have worked tremendously to promote the Status of Arabic Literature in everyday through their intellectual prowess by producing many works of note in the field of Arabic Literature. Therefore, this paper aims to examine the Status of Arabic literature of Nigerian authorship in the twenty-first Century and bring into limelight their immense contribution to the sustainability of Arabic literature in Nigeria. Before delving in to the main work , the paper would give a cursory look into general over-view on the concept of Arabic literature in human literary heritage, Likewise, the genesis of Arabic literature in Nigeria, dichotomy in the periods of Arabic literature in Nigeria, Status of Arabic literature of Nigerian authorship in the past and compare it with the present and proffer a suitable prospects in the future would be discussed.Item Multiculturalism and social development of Africa and Africans in diaspora in selected arabic literature(Hamdard Foundation Pakistan, 2014-03) Adetunji, B.; Adesida, A. A.; Adetunji, I.This study intends to investigate multiculturalism as it affects social development of Africa and Africans in Diaspora. It examines the social Problems that hinder the development of Africa as a continent as manifested in selected literary works of four African writers in the field of Arabic literature. The poems of Haflz Ibrahim (1871-1932), a modern poet of Egypt, which addresses social injustice meted out to the African people; Khalll Matran (1872-1948), an Egyptian in diaspora; Ibrahim Najl (1809- 1935). another Egyptian poet, and Abu ‘L-Qasim al-Shabbl (1903-1934), from Tunisia, call for this understudy research. The study identifies social issues that concern Africa and the Africans in diaspora. It explores how multiculturalism would enhance development of Africa and it also proffers Solutions to the identified social obstacles to the development of Africa. It concludes by specifying the multicultural models that would enhance the development of Africa and Africans in diaspora and States that Africa’s development can be maximized with multiculturalism that portrays the uniqueness of the continent and its people in diaspora.Item Combating in the threshold of emancipation: the myriad role of arab women writers to women's emancipation in the 19™ and 20™ centuries(2011) Adetunji, I.Towards the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, the clamor for women's emancipation in Arab world had been a francophone overwhelmed the global world. The emergence of feminism and women's right activities in combating for women's right has co-existed with different government and Islamism. The feminists and women activists work tremendously toward liberation from the oppression to promote equitable relations between men and women. The overall goal is to establish equity within the gender without any discrimination within the family, before the law, in political participation, in the work place, in education, and public sphere. In their attempt to push their cause forward, feminists and women's rights activists adopted different Umbrellas under which they placed women's issues. The elites and educated amidst Arab women stood up to put an end to all challenges facing Arab women in Arabian peninsula like Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Lebanon , and etc. they began to speak and forward their ordeals to different publicizing materials like newspapers, pamphlets, memos, journals and etc. and many literary movements were established as a key to liberating the 'collective consciousness' from the traditional norms that had stunted their progress. Therefore, this paper is aiming to examine the combating efforts of Arab women writers and their myriad roles towards women's liberation in nineteenth and twentieth centuries. Interestingly, this paper enunciated the Status of Arab women in pre and post modernism, and the effects of literary salons and societies in the work of Arab women writers in 19th and 20lh centuries would be elucidated for literary discourse.Item Pedagogical roles of information and communication technology (ict) in language development skills: arabic panoramic approach(2012-05) Adetunji, B.; Adetunji, I.Towards the end of the twentieth and twenty-first centuries. It becomes apparent that national development aptly depends on science and technology. The fusion of its positive reliance in global dynamics and expanding cultural diverse to all field of human knowledge, especially to language learning skills has hitherto be the concerned of the language teachers over the years back. The usefulness of ICT, in particular the internet facilities, connection network, and its communication tools in enhancing the teaching aids and learners need cannot be over-emphasized. In the global context, language is seen as an intimate part of social identity and as a vital tools in exchanging communication thoughts, beliefs and ideals, as it has been globally applauded through its vehement roles in all spheres of human endeavors. It is very obvious that acquisition of another language as an addition to mother 's language or native language by the learners has to do with the studies in psychology and sociology of the learning process. thus, In learning languages, a distinction is usually made between mother tongues which is the original language acquiring by child directly without any transmitters, and this is referred as "Source Language", while second languages, and foreign languages, is referred as "Target Language Thus, Arabic as one of the Semitic group of language has been globally welcomed through its myriads impact in national development and human social strata. Therefore, this paper is aiming to examine the vehement roles of ICT in enhancing Arabic language learners skills. Interestingly, the Paper enunciated about the rationale for ICT and Arabic language to global phenomenon. Also, the Paper further diagnosed the semiotic enhancement of ICT to Arabic language learner skills. And proper recommendation capable of fostering the enhancement of Arabic language skills through the use of ICT would be elucidated.Item Ethics and morals as a panacea in school pupils’ attitude: islamic studies teachers as a model(2010-11) Adetunji, I.Ethics enjoys a place of crucial importance in the structure in the structure of Islamic teaching. The negligence of moral teaching caused serious consequence of social vices that become rampant among the young ones in schools. This paper focuses on how exemplary lives of Islamic teachers can go a long way in fostering morals, characters and sound attitude of pupils, and also it gives a limelight on the role of Islamic studies teacher in the social value. Also, many Qura’nic and Prophetic injunctions would be showcased for rebreeding the moral, ethics and attitudes of the individuals in the world over especially the Islamic studies teacher.
